Keuka Healthcare Foundation Will Raise Money with Radio Auction on WVIN
Thursday, January 28, 2010BATH - Keuka Healthcare Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital and the Fred and Harriett Taylor Health Center, will hold its tenth annual Radio Auction from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13 on WVIN 98.3 FM.
Auction items can be viewed online. Click on "Ways to Give" and select the "Radio Auction 2010" button. There, users can download a list of all auction items with photographs. This list is updated frequently, so interested individuals are advised to check back often in the days leading up to the auction.
The Radio Auction airs on WVIN 98.3 FM, which suspends its regular programming during the auction and takes bids by phone. Listeners can bid by calling any one of three available phone lines:
- 607-794-8035
- 607-794-8037
- 607-769-4938
Auction items are divided by value. Listeners are invited to bid on "Premiere Items," those with a value of $200 or more, exclusively from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Those items are then available throughout the remaining time, even as other blocks of items become available.
The Radio Auction is sponsored by the Southern Tier Shopper (GOLD), Mercury Aircraft Inc. (GOLD), Park View Wines and Spirits (GOLD), Frey and Campbell, Inc. (SILVER), Nielson's Bath Plumbing and Hardware (SILVER), Wilkin's Recreational Vehicles (SILVER) and Dean's Greenhouse and Ice Cream Cafe (SILVER).
Individuals or businesses interested in sponsoring the auction or donating items to be auctioned should call Kim Sprague, Foundation Coordinator, at 607-776-8634. Interested parties may also download sponsor forms at the organization's website.
The Keuka Healthcare Foundation works to raise money in support of the Davenport & Taylor organization to ensure the availability of high-quality healthcare for Bath area residents. The recently constructed Joseph Meade Jr. Outpatient Rehabilitation Center was a gift from the Foundation. This year's efforts are aimed at raising money for a new state-of-the-art ultrasound machine.
The Davenport & Taylor organization, founded in 1910, is comprised of a 38-bed acute care hospital, a 12-bed skilled nursing facility, and a full complement of ancillary services. It is located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State between the villages of Bath and Hammondsport.
